Computers at the Library

Computers are an essential part of our lives in the 21st century. They have become a useful tool and an important source of information. Camden Free Public Library recognizes the need for our community to use this tool for a variety of tasks, such as applying for jobs, signing up for car insurance and communicating with friends and family. In addition, computers provide access to a wealth of information ranging from health to legal aid to car repair. We also know that many people do not have the means to purchase a computer of their own. That's why at our library we've been helping our community by providing patrons with an opportunity to use our computers to access the Internet and other sources of information.
Library staff can provide you with some assistance if needed. We will help you find a website or assist you with computer problems, but we cannot teach you how to use specific programs. The library has books on the subject in our collection to help guide you. We have handouts available which introduce you to popular programs. Also, we offer one-on-one computer tutoring.
For more information about using computers at the library, see our Computer Policy.
Please see the http://www.geocities.com/cfplweb/index.htm for ideas and help with other computer problems.
